Rain, Rain and Did I Mention Rain?

The title says it all folks. The endless rain has really limited our time on the rock! It seems every time I plan to climb, mother nature soaks us again. Sure, it’s great for the plants, and our yards are nice and green, but it makes me green with envy for those in other parts of the country who are climbing to their hearts delight. We have been forced to log some hours in the rock gym lately. Hopefully this week will be better! (fingers crossed).
Despite the near constant rain, we did manage to have a spectacular day last Saturday guiding both in Massachusetts and on Cathedral Ledge. Corey and Alek climbed with the two Brian’s from the Boston area. After top-roping a few routes, they amped things up a bit and climbed one of the only multi-pitch routes on Crow Hill Ledges. A wet start gave way to dryer rock and adrenaline on pitch two. They ended the day with some rappelling. It was a jam packed day and our climbers did awesome! Meanwhile in Mt. Washington Valley, Vincent had a big day set up for Tom! 5 pitches of world class climbing on Cathedral Ledge. They started on Funhouse (5.7) which put them in position to finish the day with Upper Refuse (5.5) and a hero’s top-out.

Isn’t it time YOU got out and climbed?!
