Just a beginner? Don’t worry, you have to start somewhere—we are here to teach and support you. Most importantly, we will keep you safe. For a great learning experience, check out our One Day Mountain Skills or Winter Camping.
Want a challenge? These advanced courses are designed to enhance your mountain skills and prepare you for the future. Upon completion you will have the skills and knowledge to safely travel in the back country. If you have the time to tackle a bigger challenge try the Two Day Mountain Skills.
Rappelling
Rappelling is a safe and fun way to get your adrenaline going! Imagine lowering yourself down a 100ft. cliff while hanging in free space. It doesn’t get much better than this. Come enjoy the outdoors, the views, and pump some adventure into your life.
Waterfall Rappelling
It’s time to take traditional rappelling to the next level! Waterfall rappelling allows you to lower yourself down a 100+ foot waterfall with the spectacular scenery of the White Mountains all around you. Enjoy a short, scenic hike into the falls before you scramble to the top of the falls and rappel back down. This is a once in a lifetime experience and NEM is excited to have brought this adventure to New Hampshire.
One Day Mountaineering Skills Course

Two Day Mountaineering Skills Course
This course is intense! It is jam-packed with knowledge and skill development for those looking to take on more challenging routes or bigger mountains such as Mt. Rainier.
Winter Camping
Camping in the winter requires a lot more skill and knowledge than in the warmer months. Everything is a little harder, colder, and demands more energy. There is an art to it and once you have the knowledge you can camp in any season and remain comfortable. In this overnight, we will hike/snowshoe a few hours into the wilderness to ensure our location is remote. Once in the backcountry, we must be self reliant and responsible. We will learn how to select a campsite, create a tent platform, build wind walls, cook, melt drinking water, leave no trace, and stay warm and comfortable throughout the night. No experience is required. Check our gear list for proper clothing and camping equipment.

We are proud to work the National Park Service, Department of Agriculture, Androscoggin Ranger District, within the White Mountain National Forest where we are authorized outfitter guides.
