AIARE Course Leader
JOB DESCRIPTION
The AIARE Course Leader position is responsible for facilitating the delivery of materials and field activities in the AIARE 1 and 2 Recreational Curriculum. The Course Leader is also responsible for overseeing and mentoring Instructors. The ideal candidate is a qualified AIARE Course Leader and has met the minimum requirements, has a working knowledge of the AIARE Recreational Curriculum and 2+ years of guide experience, wilderness medical training (WFR preferred), and a commitment to the sport and mountain guide career.
REPORTS TO: Director of Guide Services & Operations Manager
JOB EXPECTATIONS
- Leads AIARE 1 and 2 Recreational Curriculum

EXPERIENCE
Must meet minimum requirements, have attended an AIARE Course Leader Training Course and have met refresher requirements to maintain their qualification.

NEM Guide
JOB DESCRIPTION
A Summer Guide is responsible for facilitating programs offered by Northeast Mountaineering including all tasks of leading, coaching, mentoring and guiding clients on guided mountain adventures. The ideal candidate holds AMGA certifications, 5+ years of technical climbing experience, 2+ years of guide experience, Wilderness First Responder certification or a more advanced certification, AIARE Level 1 + Rescue Course or comparable and a commitment to the sport and mountain guide career. An NEM guide may be asked to lead trips such as rock climbing, waterfall rappelling, cliff rappelling, hiking and more.
REPORTS TO: Director of Guide Services & Operations Manager
JOB EXPECTATIONS
- Leads single pitch rock climbing, rappelling and hiking programs.
- Assists senior guides on guided mountain adventures
- Coach and mentor clients
- Establish, maintain and ensure safe practices at all times

- HS Diploma
- 5+ years of technical climbing experience
- 2+ years guiding experience

REQUIRED SKILLS

Guide Internship
Occasionally we take on an intern for those looking to get their foot in the door at a professional guide service. The ideal candidate is studying outdoor education or similar degree and has a strong passion for teaching others. The candidate should have 3+ years of technical climbing experience and a very strong commitment to the sport and the guiding industry. The Innkeeper is responsible for the daily operations of The Bunkhouse, client communications, indoor and outdoor maintenance and the promotion of services. This individual will be a highly motivated, organized, self-starter able to operate and promote The Bunkhouse at NEM. A dynamic personality with attention to detail is essential.

- Control quality services through cleaning, organizing and maintaining property inside & out.
- Mow lawn, sweep porches, weed gardens etc.
- Plow driveway, shovel/sand walkways and near doors.
- Meet and greet guests and address all customer comments, questions and concerns.

- Creating, editing, modifying and managing bookings.

This individual will be a highly motivated, self-starter able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including inbound marketing leads, prospect lists, discovery and individual research. REPORTS TO: Director of Operations
JOB EXPECTATIONS
- Develop new corporate outings business via telephone and mass communication such as email and social media to introduce Synergy and identify appropriate buyers within the target market.
- Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects.
- Conduct a needs analysis and determine prospects pain points to determine how Synergy and Northeast Mountaineering will speak to those needs.
- Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications in order to move opportunities through the sales funnel.
- Work with the Director of Operations to develop and grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet quarterly revenue goals.
- Manage data for new and prospective clients within CRM, ensuring all communications are logged, information is accurate and documents are attached.
