February 13: Kutaisi
Upon your early morning arrival in Kutaisi, you will be met by your NEM Guides and transferred to the hotel. After a nap, you'll have time to explore the city.
February 14: Kutaisi to Mestia
We'll start our journey into the mountains today with a 5 hour drive to the town of Mestia. We'll spend the night in a guesthouse.
TOURING BEGINS
February 15 - 20: Skiing and Riding
For 6 days we will ski tour around the Mestia/ Upper Svaneti region. If conditions allow, we will have the opportunity to ski tour out of the medieval village of Ushguli, Europe's highest continuously inhabited settlements in Europe. Ski tours may include up to 4500 vertical feet of climbing per day. Breakfast and dinner will be provided on each touring day. In addition to riding terrific snow, we'll have ample time to immerse ourselves in the local culture. Meals and lodging will be provided in local guesthouses.
February 21: Mestia to Kutaisi
After 6 days of touring, we'll say our goodbyes to the Caucasian mountains and begin our travel back to Kutaisi.
February 22: International Departure
Our journey home begins!
